CAS, Service – CAS PROJECT
I am currently a Boy Scout, and then taking on my eagle project, which is a service oriented project intended to help some organization. I've identified a school called South early College high school, that has a lack of funding, and landscaping that is very bare. He also recently lost a teacher, and the students are grieving that loss. I approach the school myself trying to identify whether they have any needs, and they were some that were very apparent. After much discussion and a few meetings with the faculty, I decided to take on a project doing the entirety of their landscaping in a courtyard area and the front of the school. This connects to LO3, as I had to reach out myself to identify the school and plan this field work experience. I did some research online about schools that were new, or a need. I will continue working on this service project throughout the next year.
