CAS, Creativity – Piano

As discussed in my previous blog I had an injury to my finger. I've been working through this in many ways. I play the piano myself, and have since first grade. This is an important creative aspect of my life and I still want to continue even with my injury. As of now, I don't use my middle finger, which is my broken one. However, starting to move my fingers a little bit, even early on helps, because my fingers have been wrapped up completely and are stiff. I've had to play songs a little bit differently and more slowly, but I am still able to remember the way to play piano. This connects to LO2, as I'm learning to play piano in a different way how much even though I knew how to before, due to my challenges.

CAS, Activity, Activity with Physical Challenges

On my school trip recently, we had some physical activities, like captured mattress. This is like capture the flag, but with the mattress. It was very hot outside and I ran pretty hard for a a while. I was exhausted, but still chasing people. I reached one person, and my finger got stuck in the side of their shirt. I couldn't keep up with them because I was so tired, they twisted away, and my fingers snapped in the opposite direction. I looks down and my finger was facing the wrong way. This was shocking, and I was exhausted. Immediately, some friends came to assist me. They could see you that I was struggling and in pain, and needed to lay down just from the exhaustion and shock. This has a unique connection to LO5, as we have been working as a team the whole time to win the game, but we continue even afterwards when I was in need of help.
